# Seminar on Utilizing Token Securities (STO) for Revitalizing Investment in K-Content Set for March 20
A seminar on the utilization of token securities (STO) to invigorate investment in K-content will be held on March 20 at the Financial Investment Association's 3rd-floor Bulls Hall, starting at 2 PM. This event aims to explore innovative solutions using digital asset technology to overcome investment challenges faced by the globally competitive K-content industry.
Hosted by Block Media, the seminar is themed "Discussion on Revitalizing K-Content Investment: Focusing on Blockchain Technology and Token Securities" and is supported by the Financial Investment Association. Despite its worldwide popularity, the K-content industry often struggles with high production costs and investment uncertainties.
For tentpole projects, investments amounting to hundreds of billions of won are necessary, leading to risk concentration due to a predominantly large corporation-centric investment structure. In this scenario, blockchain-based token securities (STO) are gaining attention as an alternative to disperse investment risks and enhance market accessibility.
The seminar will commence with an opening ceremony followed by two main sessions and a panel discussion. The opening remarks will be delivered by Block Media CEO Choi Chang-hwan and congratulatory speeches from Financial Investment Association President Seo Yoo-seok, alongside bipartisan speeches from lawmakers Min Byung-duk and Kim Jae-seop.
The first session, "The Present and Future of Token Securities (STO)," will feature writer No Ga-young discussing "Strategies for Revitalizing K-Content Investment," and Kang Ki-beom, Head of Digital New Business Division at Hana Securities, who will present on STO-based content investment strategies and risk management.
In the second session, "Convergence of Cultural Content and Blockchain Technology," film director Yang Woo-seok will speak on "IP-based Capital Procurement in the Film Industry," followed by Choi Yoon, CEO of UbiContent 2 (former CEO of Barunson Labs), who will discuss IP-based capital procurement from a film production company perspective. Additionally, Story Protocol will provide insights into IP and blockchain case studies from abroad.
The latter part of the seminar will feature a panel discussion moderated by Hanyang University Finance Professor Kang Hyung-goo, focusing on diversifying investment methods for the K-content industry. Session presenters will join the discussion along with Lee Yong-jae, Chief Strategist at Mirae Asset Securities, to delve into specific strategies and measures to stimulate investment in the K-content industry.
Post-discussion, there will be a networking session allowing attendees, including experts from the content industry and financial investment sectors, to exchange opinions and explore collaborative opportunities.
